I wanted to share an old post so that you can see that I used to be funny. :) No really - I wanted to bring a little laughter because life has been a bit too serious. There are many planets in retrograde which has caused confusion and uncertainty. It's important to cut through the illusions - the way we are perceiving things right now might be distorted. It's helpful to stay grounded and connect with the "real" down to earth people in your life that you can count on. If you are going through some major life transitions right now, please be easy on yourself and patient. The dust will settle soon.Hopefully this post will help you take your mind off things for the 10 minutes it will take you to read. :)
Here we go!!
Alight. I need to confess something. I seriously want to be Larry David. Well, maybe not “BE” him but perhaps work with him. Ha! More times than I can count, I find myself mid-conversation with someone, pretending that I am in an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm!! (new season this month!!)
I'm usually present when interacting with others, but I have to admit at times, in my mind, I am creating a Larry David scenario…thinking of what I would say if I was him, picturing the other persons reaction, silently cracking myself up!
I was thinking about why I like him; I think it’s his blatant honesty. He doesn’t let other people get away with much and he says what other people are afraid to say. Now granted, he is also completely neurotic (I relate), dramatic and self-consumed, but hilarious!
My friend recently told me a story that I think would be a funny sketch for him. I can see him doing this! Here’s the story:
My friend bought a watermelon at a Costco. She went home, was excited to eat this delicious watermelon, sliced it open, took a bite and was totally disappointed. It was tasteless. Juicy, but absolutely tasteless. Now most people in a similar situation might be disappointed, but decide to do something else with the watermelon, or just toss it altogether (yes, many of us would do this!), but she decided to take it back to Costco. To COSTCO!!!
Anyone who has ever been to this store knows that a trip to Costco can be fun and uh…not so fun.
Upon arrival to one of their stores - you are faced with a parking maze, long lines (especially the return lines), and lots and lots of people! A trip to Costco can require a bit of patience. It is also a very exciting adventure for some (right Papa??).
My friend said that she was “fed up” with just “accepting” things. I realize the trip back to Costco stood for something more and so, as I was crying with laughter listening to her story, inside I was proud of her for having the guts to do it and stake a stand. I was impressed that she had the guts to return the sorry watermelon! She was willing to stand in line with a huge watermelon in her hands, (those things are heavy!),partially eaten. She didn’t care who saw her (well, maybe a little…she did say she looked over her shoulder a couple times and prayed that no one she knew would see her), but she did it!!! She returned a watermelon that she didn’t like! To COSTCO!!! I love this woman!
Sometimes we all gotta take a stand. Right? Maybe that is the real reason that I like Larry. He’s not afraid to speak up and accept things that are just "okay."
I’m all about speaking your truth, taking a stand…just be gentle when you do it. We still want harmony and friendships right? Hahaha.
That is all for now. Return those WATERMELONS! Take a stand. Be a Larry! JUST DO IT!
Mwah!

444
Do you ever see repeated numbers? Or a certain sequence of numbers?
Pay attention! These are messages from your spirit guides and angels.
Often we discount these messages, but they are real. You can look them up online or pick yourself up an angel number book to read the messages.
Lately, I've been seeing 444.
This past Sunday eve we had a series of earthquakes - the biggest occurring at 4:44am (4.0). It jolted many of us out of bed. Want to know what 444 means??? It's a message of love and encouragement -that the guardian angels are nearby and that you are supported, protected. It also means to take specific action or go in a particular direction. Thank you for keeping us safe this night angels. We got the message! And will get to work with taking action!
Sending much love,
Carrie

I hope you’re all doing well!! Miss you all!
I can imagine by now you might have figured out some “survival” techniques for the times and are learning to adapt to this new way of life. It’s different for sure. I find myself appreciating everything, especially the quieter days here in Los Angeles.
My fiancé and I are still being careful about getting out and seeing people. We haven’t ventured out to a restaurant other than take out and we still limit store visits. I’ve been cooking up a storm though!! My guy is my constant entertainment while I’m whipping things up in the kitchen. His jokes are way better than mine but I’ll still “pepper in” my corny humor any chance I get. Like changing lyrics to songs when I want him to stop teasing me - “just zip it, zip it good – rather than “whip it, whip it good” or “I’m definitely gonna let you go” rather than “Never gonna let you go.” You get the point. I’ll spare you the rest.
I’ve been trying to create as much as I can while working through any anxiety that often creeps up from being isolated from people I love. Truly, the hardest part of all of this is not seeing my family and friends. I can imagine many of you can relate. Thank goodness for Zoom and FaceTime! We plan to make a trip next month to see my parents/family. Thank goodness!! It seems many of you have already connected with family and friends. We can only be outsiders for so long. Ha!
Now, I want this blog to be positive – as with all my messages, however sometimes I need to be direct and share my perspective. You okay with that??
I believe everything happens for a reason. I said earlier that 2020 would be the year of “ascension” and an “expansion of our consciousness.” Over the last several months, many truths have been revealed. We had time to reflect on our lives, see where things are imbalanced and hopefully learn to appreciate the things we often take for granted on a daily basis. I’ve observed with curiosity the divisive views on wearing a mask, conspiracy theories about the virus, and witnessed firsthand the range of emotions related to Covid. Ultimately, I think many people are tired, “over the virus” and just want to get back to their lives. We cannot pretend though that our lives are the same or force life to go back to how it was. Within my small circle I know people who have had the virus and survived, those that are still having complications from the virus months after and those that have died. Yep, died. Healthy people with no preconditions.
It’s a running tape in my mind thinking about how people are doing, how everyone is managing. Many people have lost their homes, apartments, businesses as a result of the pandemic and our situation in the US. Many parents are juggling their work while simultaneously ensuring their children have what they need daily – the schooling component has added another level of anxiety and stressors for many families.
Stress is the worst thing we can do for our immune systems. I’m all for safely doing things that help you feel “normal” and connected in your world if that makes you feel better. I sometimes feel like my fiancé and I are abnormal when I see so many people bopping around traveling, hanging with friends and groups of people. Maybe we’re being too cautious? I don’t know…I’ve been on a natural health kick since I was 15 years old. I haven’t taken conventional medicine other than half a pain pill when I had my wisdom teeth out in 2005. I took an Advil for the first time in years recently after a horrible allergy attack due to the fires here in LA. My diet has been natural, non-processed foods for over 20 years. I’m “healthy” and believe in my body's ability to heal and recover from illness, however this is a new virus and I don’t pretend to know exactly how it will affect me or others.
I always encourage people to be informed – to look at what is for the greater good. If wearing a mask is helpful for preventing the spread of the virus, can we all just simply do our part and be done with it? For me, it just feels right to wear a mask anytime I leave the house – even on my walks which I do daily. I take it off if there is no one around when outside. Otherwise it’s on and I have to say I like being incognito! I wear a hat, sunglasses and most of my face is covered with my mask. It’s wonderful. Hahaha. As Larry David would say: “Prettay…pretty…cool.”
I now have to GET TO THE POINT!
I feel the lesson we are learning though all of this is EMPATHY. If you didn’t learn certain lessons or do healing in the past, you might have found in the last few months some difficulty and a surfacing of emotions. There may be a new awareness around your needs, what needs to change and what you need to heal/work on. Some of you might be fighting your emotions - looking for distractions to take you away from dealing with it all. All real CHANGE starts with EMPATHY. Empathy for ourselves and empathy for others. Healing and growth is a process. We are not the same today as we were yesterday…no matter how we resistant we are to change. Inevitably life keeps evolving whether we choose to or not. I feel that taking our minds off ourselves for a minute can be a catalyst for change. When we think about others, what they might be going through it not only expands our hearts, but on an energetic level positively thinking about someone else brings them healing. That’s pretty amazing isn’t it? Think about if we consistently sent positive thoughts and prayers? What if we did the same for ourselves? Send ourselves love rather than criticism? Sounds awesome to me. There is science to this “energy” thing. What we think and feel has an effect. Watch Einstein’s Quantum Riddle about Quantum Energy on Amazon. You’ll see for yourself.
Empathy holds the key to truly having meaningful relationships. We don’t always know what other people are going through – even those closest to us, but we can have empathy, love for them. We can be supportive, check in on them, send them light and love when we think of them – even when our days are busy and filled with responsibilities we can still send people love and let them know we care. We can’t rely on social media to really know how people are doing. Sometimes we have to make an effort to check in.
I hope these times have built an appreciation for life and those that you love. It seems like it has.
To be empathetic takes curiosity, understanding, listening and care. In the big picture of life isn’t our love, connections, and contribution to others all that matters? Empathy teaches us about love – and in these times, that’s pretty miraculous.
Tools for Empathy
Empathy starts with opening the heart chakra. It may take some initial healing work which isn’t always fun. Sometimes we block our hearts and go to our intellect to make sense of things. However, our minds, although amazing, are limited. We have to get in touch with our hearts, heal our pain in order to truly love.
Some great books to assist with healing are:
You Can Heal Your Life - Louise Hay
Loving What Is - Byron Katie
Positive Energy - Judith Orloff, M.D.
Letting Go - David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D
Compassionate care and listening:
Sometimes people just need to be heard. Often holding space, simply being there for someone makes a world of difference. Being empathetic doesn’t mean we have all the answers. We can simply listen and try to understand with healthy, loving detachment. We can hold space for a person to share. We cannot always understand what someone is going through unless we’ve experienced it for ourselves, but we can go to the heart of the feelings they are experiencing and relate to that. We all know what fear, sadness, anxiety, joy, love feel like.
Deep Breathing:
Deep, rapid breathing helps awaken stagnant energy in the body and clears the bodies chakras and meridians. When you are in a state of anxiety or feeling stuck, I recommend deep rapid breathing in sets of 20. At the end of each round take a deep breath in and hold for a count of three and exhale for a count of three
Aromatherapy
Lemon, Frankincense and Orange essential oils are wonderful for activating the heart chakra and clearing negative thoughts. Diffuse in your environment or simply inhale from the bottle for three deep breaths.
Love 4th Chakra spray
I formulated this spray specifically to awaken the heart chakra and clear blocked energy. Spray on palms, inhale and feel a sense of relieve. Spray all over aura to keep the vibes high. Can also be sprayed in the atmosphere and on linens.
Therapy, Intuitive Guidance and Healing
Sometimes we need a little support with our healing. There are wonderful professionals out there that are specialized in healing. I’m also an advocate for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Intellectually, it’s helpful to understand ourselves, our pain, limitations and to learn tools to empower ourselves.
Separately, sometimes getting a massage or getting craniosacral or myofascial work can release dormant/repressed emotions in the body. Yoga can do the same.
I’m also available for readings and healing sessions should you want more intensive healing.
I hope you are all doing well. Please always feel free to send me an email or text message if you need support and I will do the same. I truly feel the love from this community, and I am grateful for every one of you!
Be well. Be happy. Hold on tight to those you love.
All my love.
Carrie
]]>Whether we like it or not, our lives have changed. In my last post I wrote about “Love in the time of Covid.” We have gone through another month, many of us, self-isolating which is well, isolating. Many states have opened and we are in a “wait and see” mode of learning and trying to adapt to this new life. As an optimist I always like to see the silver lining in it all. I have had my days lately of feeling down at the end of the day, fatigued. I start the day optimistic, happy (imagine me holding a yellow rose, smiling and by the end of the day I’m holding a stem. Whaa whaa). Many of you, are having rough days too from what I hear. It’s okay. We are allowed to feel however we need to feel. We don’t have to be happy all the time. We just need some tools to get us back in balance and I want to help! I have some recommendations for you at the end of this blog.
Since writing this blog (I have a tendency to write and not pick up for days, weeks!!) we experienced the tragic killing of George Floyd. It triggered an outcry from the nation for justice when it comes to the treatment of black people in America. The protests across the nation have been powerful with thousands upon thousands advocating. The protests in the United States triggered protests around the world. It’s been truly amazing to see. Already we are seeing slow reform – yet this is just the beginning.
This time has offered the gift of a different kind of connection, or a “re-connection” of sorts with each other. Once again, the protests alone show who we are as a world. Most of us want to love and support one another. We want equality, fairness, safety, and opportunity. We want our world to be better. No class of people should be isolated from having these things. The reality though is many of us been buried in the responsibilities of what it takes to be in this world, many up against obstacle after obstacle, and financially struggling as well, to make it in this world. It has not been right for some time. That is now changing too - because it has to.
As we move into this new life, I feel we are rebuilding our value system. Some of us already have learned to live without the things we thought we needed. Some of us are also realizing what we need more of…and those things aren’t necessarily material.
Things may not as comfortable or convenient, but we are in this together.
Can we choose to see the silver lining, the gifts that arrive from this situation? Can we find ways to practice gratitude and find ways to collectively help one other? I believe in our brilliance, innovation, our capacity to love, create, expand, evolve, heal and collectively get through this. I believe in us.
I would also like to share that in the last couple months I’ve seen more rainbows then I’ve seen in years –and you know I’m always looking for them!! I’ve seen lady bugs, butterflies, flowers thriving, birds playing…It’s been intense, however the divine energy always comes through in unexpected ways. I don’t know what’s at the end of the rainbow, but my intuition tells me there are endless possibilities for all of us if we are able to imagine it.
Here are some tools to assist you in keeping your spirit high:
MANTRAS, AFFIRMATIONS AND PRAYERS
I find these tools to be supportive during times of stress and change.
AFFIRMATIONS: I am a big believer in the power of positive thinking. Affirmations are a form of “acting as if.” They are an everyday tool that can assist the brain in shifting old thought patterns that no longer serve you. They can also help to banish any negative, limiting thinking.
What is an affirmation? They are supportive, affirmative, uplifting words.
Here are some that I like to use for example: “I am loved. I am loving. I am kind. Everything works out for me. I trust that I am supported. All is well in my world, etc.”
Don’t you feel better already?
We may be thinking “I suck,” but if we choose loving words when we are feeling this way, our energetic body shifts in a positive way. I promise you!! So, to counteract “I suck” I would use the affirmation “I love myself just as I am. I am evolving every day.” Make sense?? I read, over 20+ years ago, a book called “You Can Heal Your Life” by Louise Hay. It empowered me and helped me understand that negative thinking or speaking only brings you more of that energy and it simply doesn’t feel good. I have to say though, changing these thoughts takes time and practice. Many of us have gotten used to being hard on ourselves and it might feel natural to go into negative thinking. Change takes practice and willingness. I recommend reading this book if you need some help. It will be worth your time.
PRAYERS: If you have conflict with someone, are feeling down, hopeless, overwhelmed - pray! Or, if you don’t want to pray, simply imagine light and love going to yourself and others. We can’t be in control of everything. There are higher forces at work that support us in life. We just need to ask for help and surrender a little. Prayer works. I’ve seen its powerful effects too many times.
MANTRAS: Mantras are vibrational chants that heal and balance our bodies. Sometimes when we take time to relax, we need a point of focus. Many of us don’t like to simply meditate and breathe. Our minds may be too active. Using a mantra or repeating an affirmation over and over, allows the mid brain and frontal lobe to quiet. We move into a twilight, peaceful state that is described as a blissful, regenerative space. That sounds pretty good, right?
There are great resources online for mantras. One that I love is: Om Mani Padme Hum. This mantra helps to purify thoughts within and creates union with the divine. It’s a cleansing mantra to help the beginners mind and awaken to the wisdom within. As I mentioned earlier, it’s often easy for us to go into negativity. Positivity is empowering. It’s not naive. It’s a practice.
AROMATHERAPY TOOLS
Since we are focusing on tools for this new life, I’d like to recommend Lemon, Orange or Pine oils to relieve stress and uplift your outlook. The oils can be diffused or inhaled directly from a tissue or from the bottle. There are numerous studies on these oils and their benefits for depression, ADD, anxiety and stress. If you’ve had difficulty sleeping, then I would use Marjoram or Lavender at night. Apply undiluted to chest and the back of neck and inhale from palms.
SOOTHING FRAGRANCE
Many of you know most all my products were created to help people feel better. They are elevated tools that have a physical, emotional, psychological, and energetic effect on the body. I would recommend wearing any of the fragrances from the line. The High Vibe collection is quite balancing – the Indica fragrance being the most grounding. I’d also recommend California Haze as it has a lot of Neroli with is very calming and uplifting on a cerebral level.
MUSIC
Of course we can’t forget about music!!
Through all of the changes these last few months and especially during the protests I kept hearing in my head the words to Stevie Wonders song: Heaven Help Us All The lyrics are powerful and Stevie always brings his light. I recommend listening to all Stevie’s songs on repeat in the coming days. I promise, he’ll make you feel better if all of this guidance doesn’t.
I’m available for readings should any of you need support and spiritual guidance. Book here.
Sending all my love always.
xx
Carrie
I hope you are staying well and feeling good! I also hope you are staying in as much as possible. Ha!
My initial blog prior to “Covid” was to write about rituals for healthy living. Was I anticipating an event like this? Nope. I am still going to write about my rituals for healthy living – however, I will not only provide dustings of humor, I will add specific tools for this unique time in our lives.
The truth is everyone across the globe is affected by this. Not often in our lifetimes or lifetimes past (joke, but not really) have we experienced something quite like this. The power of a virus and its affect on us physically, emotionally, psychologically, spiritually, financially, economically and socially. What a powerful thing. A virus that also happens to affect the lungs -- the center of our heart chakra.
I’ve seen already how quickly this virus has illuminated what is truly important. For me that is my beloved, family and friends. I am also thankful for my home and the luxury of affording food. I’ve never been one to take things for granted, but this circumstance truly brings things into focus.
Living in Los Angeles, it seems at first people went into survival mode, then vacation mode -thinking that staying 6 ft. away from one another still meant that you could gather with friends, lie on the beach, hike, gather in the parks...however we have about 4 million people in Los Angeles so prob not a good idea to gather in public places!
We’re not used to living this way, in isolation from one another. Isolation is keeping us safe and preventing us from spreading the virus to others.
Isolation offers the gift of solitude (or MADNESS) and a re-connection with our families, partners, children in a way that we don’t often get to experience. Love in the time of Covid. Yep. Perhaps this time is ultimately stretching our hearts in a way that is creating more empathy, gratitude for everything and awareness around what we deeply love?
I feel peaceful, aware. I’m creating in the quiet. I pray often. Prayers for me can be reading poetry while thinking of loved ones. Singing and sending the love out to those that are suffering. I joke around a lot when I can – even if my jokes are horrible, cook yummy dinners for my partner, connect joyfully with friends and family though FaceTime and Zoom. This time will pass. I’m embracing every moment.
”Just because you are happy it does not mean that the day is perfect but that you have looked beyond its imperfections.” – Bob Marley
This time is also exercising our resilience. May of us have lost jobs, had to worry about how to pay bills and manage through the crisis. Some of our favorite restaurants and shops are suffering. As comfortable as some of us might be, we still must acknowledge life is already different and our lives are not individual. We are a collective that need one other. Let’s fall in love with life again. There is so much to be thankful for --- and so much that has needed to change. My daily mantra is to focus on loving kindness. Simply being loving, bringing light where I can and simply trusting that we are all supported by spirit though this collective change.
Where are my tips on healthy living you ask?? Yes, I now remember the point to this blog. Ha! I’m stepping off this podium to bring you the tools I use daily for overall wellness -- tools that are coming in handy under the circumstances. Are you ready??
Here we go:
Tip #1: Eat chocolate chip cookies daily.
Tip #2: Eat more cookies
Tip #3: More cookies
(Oops, this was from the Cookie Monster – wrong blog).
Carrie’s Tips:
#1: Manage Stress
Stress depletes the immune system. It negatively affects our nervous system. It’s the worst thing you can do for your health. So, if you’re feeling afraid, here are some things you can do daily to release that energy:
Meditation:
Daily for 10-30 minutes sit, pray and breathe. Give yourself time to set intentions in the morning, to send love and light to family and friends and to connect with your intuition. For me, this sacred time helps me to feel grounding and centered. Walking is another form of meditation. I find walks in the afternoon from 30 minutes to an hour helps me feel connected to the world, nature and is ultimately very healing.
Exercise:
I mentioned walking, but I find that any daily exercise is essential to staying and feeling healthy. Get outside if you can (while keeping your distance from others).
Music:
Music helps to raise your vibration. I listen to music daily. I find it to be soothing and healing. It gets my creativity flowing too. Here are my music picks for the month:
Prelude - Cesar Franck/Arthur Rubinstein
Paul – Big Thief
Be My Witness - Bahamas
Puzzles, Word Games:
Puzzles and word games stimulate the mind and they help with focus. This time in our lives is a perfect time to focus on a puzzle. I challenge you to start one. Be aware of if, when you’re truly focused, any guidance or wisdom comes through. Sometimes when we are in this type of focused energy, we receive ideas and visions. It’s fun to experiment with. These are relaxing tools that help us focus yes, but ultimately assist us in getting our minds off things for a while.
#2 Good food:
Emotionally we may want to binge right now or eat comfort foods. Keep in mind that it’s okay to do this on occasion, however eating healthy is more important than ever. We need to keep our immune systems up. Bone broth or broth of any kind is great for the immune system. Limiting refined sugars is essential. Eating plenty of mineral dense foods like kale, spinach, broccoli, collard greens, beets, sweet potatoes, etc. is important. Limiting refined carbohydrates is also helpful. Good, clean protein is grounding and good for the nervous system. *I’m not a doctor or dietitian – these are things I do that I find to be helpful.
#3: Boost your immune system
Ginger, lemon honey tonic:
Blend/puree a palm size bunch of ginger, one lemon and one tablespoon of honey together. Store and use one tablespoon daily mixed with 1 cup hot water. Add more honey to taste. I add Rosemary for an extra boost. Ginger is antifungal, anti-inflammatory. Lemon is detoxifying. Honey is healing. Rosemary anti-inflammatory, nerve tonic.
Diffusing Clove and Frankincense essential oils:
These are my go-to oils for keeping the air in my environment clean. Clove is anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral and is helpful for the respiratory system. Frankincense is grounding and calming. It’s also helpful for sinus congestion and is antiseptic.
Using Natural Hand Sanitizer
I’ve been making natural hand sanitizer for myself, family and friends using POTENT essential oils. I have a limited supply available should you want them. Order here.
The sprays need to be concentrated if you do your own. The blend that I make has many more oils in it but here is a simple recipe if you would like to do your own.
2oz amber bottle
10 drops clove oil
10 drops frankincense
10 drops oregano
10 drops orange
Fill bottle halfway with 70% + alcohol and the rest water. Shake and use. Always wash your hands when you get home. This spray is meant to be used while out and about – when you don’t have the ability to wash your hands. For years I’ve used my chakra sprays for the same purpose as they are anti-bacterial and disinfectant.
Bring Spring Inside:
I have a room spray collection that hasn’t launched yet. All sprays are meant to bring the “outside” indoors. I’ve been using the Gardenia spray lately. It smells like spring. Such a refreshing scent. It immediately lifts my mood. Comes in an 8 oz trigger spray for $40.00. Choose from Floral, Herb, Campfire, Dirt (yes, dirt!!). I can’t wait to finish the packaging on these babes but in the meantime, they are available without if you would like to have them. Click on link to purchase.

That’s all for now folks. I’m sending you so much love. We will get through this. We will be stronger, more loving and connected as a result. I know it. Mwah! Carrie
]]>With many of my favorite shows, I pretend that I’m one of the characters, living out sketches from the show. For instance, I’ve had many “Curb Your Enthusiasm” scenarios – in fact I had one just the other day (or months ago as I mentioned I’m late getting back to this blog…just roll with me okay?)
Wanna hear about it?? You’re going to anyway.
I went to my local health food store. I pulled into a spot in what is a VERY tiny lot, in the only available spot. I contemplated pulling into the space as the person to the right had parked their car diagonally in this vertical spot! Not intentionally.
I carefully pulled in thinking “what am I doing??” Although I persisted, because I’m crazy!
Anyway, I’m in the spot.
I start to panic immediately playing out in my mind every worst-case scenario – one being imagining this person backing out of the space while scraping off the entire side of my car!
As a preventive measure I come up with the idea to take a photo of the person’s license plate just in case anything happens (I wish I could use the hands over the head emoji here). Smart right? Wink.
Just as I’m taking the photo I hear “everything alright??”
BUSTED!
It’s the owner of the car. I’m standing there looking at him with a stunned stare for a good few seconds. When I wake up, I immediately apologize profusely for taking a photo of his license plate! I explained that I was being cautious and a little (or a LOT) OCD. I didn’t have the courage to say, “Excuse me? Did you realize these are vertical spots? And can I help YOUUU??” Hahaha.
He was cool about it – waaaay cool. I felt like a stalker, uptight, A-hole. Anyway, I know Larry David would have said something to him about his parking. Inevitably, an argument would have ensued! In my mind I played the whole thing out picturing Larry's hand jesters, yelling at the guy, while trying to get out of the space.
I caved and it's all good. There is no point to this story.
All in all, he said “What you did was smart. Don’t be sorry.”
Awe, now that’s sweet. See? Some things can be resolved peacefully. I like it that way.
I also love Larry David and will forever try to be him…if only in my mind.
Listen ya’ll – I have stories for daaayzzz.
Now getting back to me (haha) and the Righteous Gemstones…
I was thinking the other day about righteousness and judgement. Why? Well, why not?
Sometimes I catch myself. I can be righteous - at least I think I can. I’m a dork goody goody. It feels good to do the right thing. I don’t think I’m “all that” or better than anyone - even though I am. (caught yah...kidding again!) I am, however, let down when people are unconscious of their behaviors. I have this mechanism inside that I’ve had to tame awhile back when I wanted things to be a certain way. I want things to be peaceful and assist people in being more aware and considerate. My higher self says – don’t judge or it’s not your job to correct or lecture people.I've learned over the years to try not to take anything personally. However, I'm a very sensitive person, sometimes I am disappointed and I want things to be different (*disclaimer* - I am generally speaking here. Most all people are wonderful, especially in my little world of family and friends. They are the loveliest, considerate, inspiring people that I know.).
The thing is - I realize that my righteous is what I used to protect me from having to engage with certain people. If I observed something I didn’t like or felt a weird energy, my go to was to shut down, disengage. I still do this, but in a more subtle, loving way. Never with the intention to judge or make anyone feel bad.
I promise there is a point to all of this…
The thing is – I think righteousness is okay. Especially, when it's coming from a place of love and genuine regard for other people. If we didn’t have parent’s, mentors, teachers, coaches, brothers, sisters, friends to hold us accountable when we needed it most, what would we do? Not everyone is built with a mechanism inside to know better. We sometimes have other layers that cloud our perceptions and decision making - especially when we are overly emotional, ungrounded, or simply not taking good care of ourselves.
We need each other. We need standards to aspire to. We need mirrors to say “I don’t think you should do that. Or, is that the best path for you?” – you get what I’m saying?? We are all learning every day. We learn from the wise, the experienced. We all need this wisdom. There is always something to learn. Some of us are born with it, some of us learn through each other and in life.
I think having a set of morals and values for yourself is important. I was blessed to have great parents that instilled and demonstrated a certain way of living and "being". I'm grateful for that. I'm also grateful for the compass within me, my intuition, that always guides me in the right direction. I've always known what felt wrong and what felt right - for me.
Our set of morals and values may be different from one another – and that’s okay. We can hold ourselves accountable to our own values and we can impart our wisdom when asked, but we cannot expect others to agree with us. Universally, I believe there are spiritual laws that we all aspire to – one simply being: to be kind and respectful to others.
We have to give each other the space to explore what resonates within our hearts. I believe that doing good, making positive choices equates to a happy, fulfilling life. As simple as that may be, it’s sometimes easier said than done.
I want to be a Righteous Gemstone – shining light on others, creating subtle openings in hearts and minds though love. That’s not so bad, right? I kinda like that I want us all to be the best we can be. Wanna come on this journey with me?

*Last blurb – Uncut Gems by Josh and Benny Safdie starring Adam Sandler was such a fantastic film. Adam Sandler did an excellent job acting – everyone did. They all really should have been nominated for awards however strangely they didn’t get any recognition at the Golden Globes, SAG and soon to be Oscars?! Go see it so at least we can support these artists.
That’s it for now. Sending you all much love! Go be a GEM! Stay tuned for the next blog. I'll share some tips on diet, self-care, etc.
Byeeee!!!
]]>Over the next while, I'll be reposting some of my favorite blogs. The one below in particular makes me laugh. My older sister recently visited my other sister, who lives in NYC, over Halloween. I am often back in NYC visiting them this time of year - I missed this one due to projects. In my mind and heart I was there When I read this post it brought back memories of many laughs with family. The memories of my NYC visits with my sis, nephew and brother-in-law are some of my favorites. Here yah go!
Yeah, I’ve totally lost it. I’m loosing my marbles (what does that expression mean by the way???). If we are destined to lose our marbles - how many do we get to start with?? I’m worried. :)
I was thinking the other day about something that happened while I was visiting my sister in NYC. We were getting ready to step into the elevator in her building; as my sister opened the door to get in (it’s an old, old elevator – seriously, I think there was a man with a pulley harnessing us up and down the shoot), I heard her say “Oh, oh, OH!! You going down to the basement? You go ahead!! We’ll wait for it to come up.” Now, I could only see a sliver of the woman she was talking to. She was a bit in her years, probably mid 80’s, hair a bit crazy, but that is all I could see... I had no idea why my sister didn’t want to get in the elevator with her?
As my sister and I were waiting for the little pulley man to bring up the elevator (haha), she turned to me and quietly said “she wasn’t wearing any pants!” “SAY WHAT????” I replied. “No, really, she wasn’t wearing any pants!!” said my sis. OMG! Underwear was present, but no pants!! I HAD to see for myself, but at the same time I DIDN’T want to see!
T
The elevator arrived, we stepped in, I saw it all. The woman was standing there in her tee shirt, her crazy hair and no pants! My heart broke. I was half laughing, half crying inside. I wanted to help her…or someone(!) to help her find those darn pants!
We carried on. I have to admit more than once that day, I cracked up thinking about the whole “situation” and at the same time, felt terribly sad for the woman. I wondered if she had anyone that looked after her and if she’d often left the house with no pants.
Surprisingly -- we encountered her later that afternoon outside my sisters building, dressed in a PANT SUIT (HUH?) and smoking!!! “Ok” I thought to myself. How could this woman, one minute be pant-less, crazy-haired and the next all dolled-up and smoking outside as if she was never in the elevator, hanging out in just her skinnies??
Maybe she’s a little nutty, or perhaps a bit senile (awe, I really hope not) or maybe she just doesn’t care! And if she doesn’t, then I LOVE her and think she is a crazy superfreak!!
The moral (if there is one) of this story is this: I’m a bit loopy, too! We all can be “nutty” at times…and I love that! We are emotional beings. It is impossible to be continually “normal” (whatever that is). I believe when we truly feel comfortable with who we are, we are less likely to be concerned about what others think of us. We are no longer affected by others or afraid to show our true selves -- even our “nutty, crazy, freaky” self.
I’m a superfreak and I like it. I try to be an example and support others with my work, but I love that I am emotional being and I love that I can be super goofy, super sensitive, and super okay with all facets of myself. There are days when I literally lose my marbles and am a bit coo-coo and I like it. Now, granted, I’m not leaving home without my pants and with crazy-hair (thank goodness!), but there are days when I want to go to the store in my pajamas (which, by the way my mom thinks are dresses!!), and not put any effort in to being anything other then my natural self.
Subliminal insert here: If you use the Life Aromatherapy skin care, body products and natural perfume line, you will always smell and look good regardless of you having no make-up, no pants, or pajamas on. People will be so caught up in trying to figure out what that “amazing smell is” and how you got that “glow” and will not notice your crazy hair, lack of proper clothing, etc. So, you better get some product now, superfreaks out there!
Okay – I have to stop, because this blog is going nowhere at this point. Moral to the story:
Keep your pants on, be crazy every now and again and love who you are, always!

This energy is influenced by Leo - powerful Lion energy and also the star Sirius which rules Cancer. Cancer is emotional and needs security. You may be feeling the need to take charge, clear things up, claim what is yours, start something new, move, end all that isn’t serving you - completely form a new path. Honor this energy but do so mindfully. It will absolutely push you into taking chances.Remember to check in on your loved ones and friends during this shift as they may be going through transitions, healing and may need your support. .
I’ve been spending time getting grounded through meditation 🧘♀️ (join me @unplugmeditation Wed + Sundays) and using my Grouding 1st Chakra Spray + 7th Chakra Spray. This is a great time to get a massage, practice breathing techniques to calm any anxiety. I’m available for readings should you need support. Email to schedule.
It’s a powerful time. Our vibrations are shifting. There is an uprising in consciousness, things are changing for the better...because we are powerful beings with the capacity to come together, support each other in elevating our lives through our truth, love and light.
#lionsgate #portal #leo #8/8
Last year was a year of MAJOR transformation. We had a rough start with the outcome of the Presidential Election and from there-on it was a roller coaster ride (to say the least)!!
I’m glad it’s over. I do feel that the worst is behind us (with the exception of our insane president). Growth needed to occur. As a collective group, we needed to be stretched and challenged to reveal the truth of who we are as a society. What are our values? Where is the divide? What needs healing? As individuals, I feel this last year allowed for a realization of truth around what we want and need to feel in order to be happy, whole and fulfilled in this life. Many things ended last year – especially when it came to relationships. I truly believe the two eclipses that occurred last October were the catalyst of this major change – creating an awareness around what wasn’t working in our lives. As a result, people let go of jobs, relationships – whatever wasn’t allowing for expansion and happiness. It was a year of endings, death…and with death comes the cycle we are now in – new life.
We are in a number 11 year. One of the most elevated numbers is numerology – a number of Spiritual Awakening. Uprising of sorts. Truth, transparency and love are the themes. Moving toward wholeness, community, family, friendship – ultimate support. I can’t tell you how excited I am about this year, especially since my master number is 11 – have a feeling that this is my year! Pleeeeasse!! I’ve been praying for YEARS to be settled, married in a home, with little ones running around (if that’s in the cards) – I’ve come to the realization over the last several years that my business is my baby and I am a mother through my readings and friendships to many, but gosh how I want the other things too!
It’s important to embrace the energy of this year, use it to better ourselves. We need to put the emphasis in our lives on our souls’ purpose, the deeper purpose of why we are here and what we can contribute. How can we do that? By giving ourselves space to reflect, connect within – be alone however we can create that space for ourselves.
I realize my work is my purpose. It’s why I devote my heart and soul to what I do. I love creating, sharing and supporting others. It gives me great joy and a sense of self, deeper meaning. I spend a majority of my time alone because I need to. I need the space to create, be quiet to feel whole. I understand that many of us don’t always have the luxury of being alone due to our responsibilities – but that doesn’t mean we don’t have control over that. We can create rituals at home to connect for even 10-15 minutes though listening to music, meditating, getting out on a walk or run, stretching, doing yoga, taking a bath – even smelling an essential oil will immediately shift your energy and allow for connection.
We are bombarded my technology and media – many of us use these tools to disconnect/check out. Our energy is still going out to whatever we are looking at, so it’s not restorative or healing at all. It may feel like it is in the moment, but I assure you, it’s not. We have to connect with ourselves and each other in real, human ways.
My prediction for this year is that many of us will put the emphasis of our lives on connecting, communing with people, getting out in nature and regaining some sort of control and meaning in our lives rather than depend on the things that distract and disconnect us. “No” is my word for this year. May sound a little negative but I assure you it’s not. It’s empowering to say “No, I don’t feel like doing that. Or “No, that doesn’t work for me.” Saying no to the things that don’t make you feel good will allow the space for the things that do. It will give you time for connecting with yourself. What are you going to say yes and no too? A deepening of the spirit and connection to ourselves and others? YES! I am!! Ha!
The month of love is here. St. Valentines day. I feel every day is Valentine’s day and as a result I’ve created some LOVE kits that you can use throughout the year to keep you connected to love energy anytime you desire. Choose from:

Lastly – I’m proud to announce that I’ve launch a new fragrance collection. This collection truly is my baby and I’m very proud of this creation. I’ve used my intuitive abilities to capture the essence of places that are very special to me. It’s a sensory experience that is evocative – transporting you through scent to different points of time. It’s meant to evoke all the senses – especially the “feeling” senses, as I’m all about love and I want people to feel that amazing healing energy.
One last thing before I go. Music!
Here a couple songs I can’t stop listening too. Feeling nostalgic lately. Mwah!
It’s going to be a powerful year. Find meaning, go deeper, help others, build your community. We need connection. It is essential to our happiness.
I’m grateful to connect with all you. Wishing a blessed and powerful month.

Let me tell you how this energy has affected me….
The last two weeks have gone like this:
Sunday – wake up, happy, not a care in the world.
Monday – wake up, tired, yet okay, optimistic, irritated.
Tuesday – Terribly sad for no good reason. Thinking of moving and selling everything.
Wednesday – Thank God for being alive, heaviness in heart. Cry to my partner gushing about how lucky we are, optimistic, still ready to sell everything but like the idea of clearing things out. Feels good and empowered.
Thursday – Excited. Focused. Fine. Heavy heart.
Friday – Tired. Horribly sad. Missing home.
Saturday – Happy, yet feeling alone all while being surrounded by my partner and friends.
Sunday – Excitement followed by terrible depression. Ready to sell everything. Move home. Everything and everyone overwhelm me.
And this cycle went on for another week! The later week being the worst of it. Today as I write this I feel as though I’ve been beaten up. Exhausted, sensitive and still a tad sad, but feeling much better (can’t you tell by my amazing humor?). Fortunately, I had time to meditate and do a little breath work and yoga stretches over the last few days to move some of the gunk out – it helped!! I sprayed possibly a gallon of my Love + Light Sprays over the course of several days, which helped too and I smell good to boot!
99% of the time I am a very happy, optimistic person. That is why it is strange at times to wake up and feel a weight from the world that I don’t know what to do with. It’s simply in the atmosphere and as a highly sensitive person, it can be overwhelming. Feeling this atmospheric weight allows for me to empathize and help people through my intuitive readings, but yikes, is it intense sometimes. I’m not saying that I don’t have my own stuff that comes up, I do. I am just very in tune with myself and so I know when I’m upset and why I’m upset or sad. It not a random feeling like what I feel sometime with the shifts of the moon and planets. Now getting to those darn nebulous cosmos…
What I enjoy about the stirrings of the moon and planets is that other people feel the shifts (not that I like to see people suffer, by any means)! These shifts allow for connection, community, awareness and healing; which all ultimately lead to more love and compassion. It would be a lonely planet if we were on our own to understand and feel this energy. I’m thankful every day to know other sensitive people that “get it” and need to connect during these times.
The interesting thing about this energy is that it is hard to kick. At least I’m feeling it’s difficult to shake. Some of you reading this may be thinking “I don’t know what this coocoo bird is talking about. I don’t feel a thing?!” That is completely possible. Sometimes the moons energy only affects those signs that the moon falls in. Sometimes people are completely unaware of any of the moon cycles/shifts. Now, when it comes to the other planets, that’s a whole different thing. Most everyone I know feels Mercury Retrograde! Look it up if you don’t know what that is – okay I digress…
The message is (as there is hopefully always an intention when I take up your time with these lengthy blogs) is that it’s a time of major, as my friend Janine calls, “gooey duck” healing and clearing. Deeper needs will surface during this time. We may scream and make demands as a result, or we could also take good care of ourselves, get the nurturing we need and consciously, calmly ask for what we need. Your choice. As as good as it may feel to lash out – I would recommend channeling that energy into healthy outlets such as boxing, running, kickboxing, writing or simply screaming into apillow before you take it out on anyone else.
Here are some “tools” and recommendations to get you though:
I hope these recommendations help you get thought the month. Here’s a video I created about the New Moon in Cancer if you want to learn more about that energy.
Oh, and here are links to the LOVE + LIGHT chakra sprays. They WORK!! Promise!
Also – I am scheduling channeled intuitive sessions if you need support, healing and clarity.
ONE LAST THING – MUSIC!! Play on repeat…Fighting Away the Tears – Mocky & Feist
VERY LAST THING – I’m teaching two special workshops this month.
July 20th 7pm@ WMN Space in Culver City (sorry, women only) and July 29th @ Light On Lotus. Hope to see you!!!
Wishing you all powerful and healing month. Try to have a little fun, too!
Mwah!
xx, Carrie
Hurrying one day, I quickly threw on my shoes and ran out the door to go to the store with my guy. It was a Sunday and Sunday’s are my favorite day. It’s the one day in the week that I devote to relaxation. Aside from teaching my morning meditation class, I make no plans. My partner and I will usually spend the afternoon/evening together relaxing and cook a special meal. This Sunday was no different than the others, with the exception that I was absolutely exhausted. The weeks prior were quite active and I needed some rest. I was looking forward to cooking dinner, settling in and watching a movie. I wanted to pop in & out of the store and get home!
As I hurried out the door, I had put on shoes without looking down to see what I was doing, shut and locked the door behind me. It wasn’t until we were driving that I noticed that I had on two different shoes! One ivory and one hot pink! Two different styles, both flats. I looked at my guy and said laughing “Oh my GOD!!! I’m wearing two different shoes!!! We have to go back home!” He was not phased in the slightest. As I persisted, he replied “Who cares??? Let’s go!”
He was right. However, I wanted to go home. I debated for several minutes as we were driving, making it harder to turn back.
My ever so helpful ego began to kick in and I started thinking about what other people would think about the mismatched shoes. Would they think that I was a LOON??? Trying to get attention?? OR perhaps attempting to start a new trend? (it is Los Angeles!). I thought of my clients, students and the chances of running into them. How could I teach when I can’t match my shoes?? Ha ha!
Now, in hindsight it sounds ridiculous — such a silly thing to worry about. BUT, I have to acknowledge what went through my head because it taught me a good lesson!
You see, I’m a goof. I can be refined, graceful, “together,” but the truth is people that know me well, know that I do these things. I run into things, I share silly, awkward responses. I can be childlike. I dance to the overhead music while waiting on line –This is “me.” I am not always “together,” and I like that about myself. I don’t really pretend to be. That is why wearing mix-matched shoes was no surprise to me (or my guy!). If anything, it made me laugh inside.
Rest of the story goes: We went into Whole Foods, which if you live in Los Angeles a trip to WF’s can be a bit of “scene”, but I smiled and made eye contact when I saw people noticing my shoes, kept my chin high and went on with our shopping.
I still laugh about that evening, as silly as it was. It taught me in an instant so much about myself, especially my ego. Even when I think I’ve tempered that darn thing, it pops back in! The whole thing caused me to love my goofiness even more.
The message of this month is this: EMBRACE YOURSELF! Bring out the silliness. Stop trying to be “perfect” and just love yourself “as is.” It makes the journey a whole lot easier and I tell you, people relate more to the lighter, sillier stuff much more than the “together,” perfectionist “stuff.”
Here is a little music to get you in the mood:
And here’s a little something to give you a boost!
I use this spray to evoke playfulness, confidence and joy: Spray anytime you need a little support!
And here’s a video I created to explain a bit more about this center: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_XnWKieeKQ
Now, I dare you to go out with two different shoes and show the world what you’re working with.
Until next time! Mwah!
]]>Hi!!! It’s been an eternity since I’ve written anything! Wow, how the time passes…
I have to admit – for the last year or more, I’ve felt like I had nothing to say. My energy was spread thin. I wasn’t feeling inspired to write and frankly, I began to feel like what I had to share wasn’t important. I fell into the space of “survival.” As much as I was working on expanding my line and readings, my heart was feeling sad, lonely and I was exhausted.
I had an awakening recently (thankfully!) when I attended an event hosted by the Tina Brown “Women in the World” Organization. My sister is part of Tina Brown’s team and reserved a spot for me and a friend. The organization is about women supporting women internationally. The discussion contained controversial yet, important subjects. Many of the woman that were on the discussion panel and in attendance were powerful (powerful!!) women that are changing the world. I was awestruck by the heart wrenching stories and the injustice many women face across the world. Other stories were inspiring and invigorating.
Ultimately sitting there with a group of 300 women, I woke up. My Warrior Heart, the one that has guided me through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, lit up and provided to me a message that I could not deny. I AM NOT DOING ENOUGH. Sitting there hearing these gripping stories, I remembered why it was I moved to Santa Monica: to grow personally, professionally and to support people globally through my work. I have done what I can under the circumstances of living here, but it is my circumstances living here, that have not always allowed for the stability I need to REALLY GIVE, EXPAND and SERVE. I have been trying to keep up and now, I’ve WOKE UP!
What I took away from the experience was more than I could have imagined. It put things in perspective for me. I saw the areas in my life that needed to change and it made me incredibly grateful for my life.
I am overjoyed that my sister is part of such an amazing organization (they are lucky to have my sister, as well. She’s a SUPERSTAR!!). I hope to contribute to this organization any way I can and be an advocate for their causes.
Wanna help too?!?! www.tinabrownmedia.com
Back to the Warrior Heart…
We are all incredible beings. We all face challenges in our lives, joys, and moments when we think we can’t continue or that we aren’t able to change our circumstances. That is why we need each other. That is why having a strong, resilient and faithful heart is so important. We have to love and believe in ourselves. We have to love and nurture ourselves and do those things that bring joy to every moment. We have to help each other. It is essential.
Often we get so consumed in our everyday life that we neglect to see the bigger picture of what could be and how to create change. It is sometimes a daunting task to manage our own daily responsibilities, let alone, consider others that may need support.
If we can take the steps to look at our immediate circle and see if there are ways to create more love, support and harmony in our immediate lives and the lives of our loved ones, then we’ve made a big step. If we can do more than that, wonderful. Any little bit helps and it all starts in our immediate circles.
Living here in Los Angeles, I see great abundance and I see a lot of suffering…people just trying to make it and find their way. The dichotomy of energies is intense sometimes (at least for me). The homeless population here is another story…so many are mentally imbalanced and without the proper services to get assistance. It’s hard to see the suffering and the wealth all that the same time. It’s life, I know. It’s what comes with living in a big city, it’s just so prevalent. The awareness around the disparity makes me incredible grateful for my life and circumstances. It puts me in alignment with how lucky I am and so many of us are. The more we can do to put the emphasis on love, giving and lifting people up rather than on self-focused, superficial, material things, the better. Don’t get me wrong, I believe in abundance and having everything your heart desires, but I also believe in giving and sharing. That is what makes having abundance so fun.
My warrior heart has been tired, but I am realigning and repositioning myself to make some changes. Writing this blog is the first step. I hope you use this time to align yourself with your highest path and make the Warrior Heart pledge to do your part in the world. Open your hearts, give, love and support others. I’ll honor my pledge and will continue to do as much as I can to support others in their lives through my products, readings and much more.
Soooo, what are we going to do this month?? Get GOING!! There is work to do!
Here is a little music to inspire you!
I Ain’t The Same – Alabama Shakes
As part of my realigned commitment; I’m working on scheduling some workshops. Yay!! Most of the workshops will involve yoga, intuitive development, sacred healing circles and empowerment classes to assist you in your life. Contact me directly if you would like to schedule in your area.
Also, I’ve opened up my mentoring sessions, as well. These If you have any interest, contact me directly to coordinate. Some mentoring sessions are done face to face, others via phone/Skype.That’s all for now, angels. Go out and lift someone up (literally and figuratively. haha). Here’s a little something to make you laugh. Don’t we have the same smile? hahahahaha!!!
There is nothing more beautiful than having a wish and having it come true. Believe with all your heart that you will have what you want. Trust in the Universe to bring it to you in the very best way for you, at the perfect time. If we lose hope in ourselves and our dreams, where will we be?
We are part of the stars. We are part of everything. Believe, believe, believe.
Etoiles Parfum – Essence of the Stars
The gypsies travel the earth — loving, dancing, singing and sometimes suffering, for the sake of love. Their hearts are strong for they have traveled far and experienced the light and darkness in life. They have saved lives and have been saved. They have faced fears and haven’t withered away. Heart of a Gypsy. My pledge. My new line you will soon find, will embody the essence of these qualities. For once a gypsy has loved deeply and dissolved all illusions and suffering, joy & light and freedom remain…and a gypsy begins to love, dance & sing, yet again. ck
Heart of a Gypsy™
In honor of love, I would like to dedicate this poem to my parents who today, August 15, have celebrated a life of 56 years together in marriage (62 years if you include their time before marriage). To this day, they embody all the goodness of what love & commitment is all about. I am grateful every day for their influence and example in my life.
The Most Alive Moment
The most living moment comes when
those who love each other meet each
other’s eyes and in what flows between them then.
To see your face in a crowd of others, or alone on a frightening street, I weep for that.
Our tears improve the earth. The time you
scolded me, your gratitude, your laughing,
always your qualities increase the soul.
Seeing you is a wine that does not muddle or numb.
We sit inside the cypress shadow
where amazement and clear thought
twine their slow growth into us.
-Rumi
May we all be blessed with an abundance of love that heals all and elevates us to do what seems impossible.
With all my gypsy heart,
Carrie

My perfume pick of the month:
Voile – Veil of Light
This was the first perfume I created for the fragrance line. It was originally called “baby” to capture the essence of innocence, purity and the connection between mother and child. The energy I felt from this fragrance created a feeling of safety and protection and so I changed the name to Veil so that everyone could connect the the feeling of safety and protection, while feeling the essence of innocence, purity and the connection that we share with our loved ones and life. I recommend wearing this fragrance daily and layering it over some of the other fragrances from the line.
]]>Hello Friends,
It’s been awhile. Ahhhhhhh. Will you forgive me??? If I give you a big squeeze, maybe??? Pretty please.
When I write, it’s with the intention of inspiring. It’s not that I haven’t had anything to say, it’s just that, well, I’ve had plenty to deal with the last few months and am finally coming up for air. I think I needed a little inspiration. Ha!
Happy New Moon in Cancer!! What does that mean? I’d love to tell you, but this blog is long enough! I will, however, tell you that it’s a good thing – and I’m not just saying that because I’m a Cancer (with Scorpio rising and Sagittarius moon – now you know everything!). I DO want to talk about something “spacey” though, something else related to the planets…
Do you recall the Grand Trine a few months back? What was that you say? Yes, the Grand Trine. You know about it, right? No?? Let me tell you all about it.
Something interesting happened around April; a particular arrangement of the planets created a precise geometrical square in the sky — exact to one-third of a degree! Truthfully, I don’t know all that much about astrology, but I will admit that I feel shifts in atmospheric energy, the planets and the changes of the moon. Sometimes, more than I care to. This particular Grand Trine was made up of Jupiter, Pluto, Uranus and Mars which created pushy, confident, expansive and extremely potent energy. Some even referred to it as violent and ruthless. (Grrrrr…)
The Trine attempted to make right of what needed to be right. Upheavals were omnipresent. The energy of it all was meant to launch each of us to the next level of our personal evolution and awakening. Where was I? Ummm, yeah right in the middle of the tornado! I think I saw some of you in there with me. ;- )The energy was meant to turbocharge personal evolution and awakening. I feel that it did.
The blessing in all of this is that, sometimes, the Universe does the clean-up for us…whether we like it or not. It was a purposeful, powerful time. And after several months to reflect on it all and slowly negotiate and form a new footing, I am so grateful for all of those things that didn’t work out for me at the time and all the gifts that have come since.
What I realized is this: when you maintain your integrity during times of challenge, you evolve on such a deep level that you magnetically attract people that are aligned in the same way. We are all learning constantly. When you remain in love energy and acceptance during challenging times, it will get you far.
So, back to you and the Grand Trine. I really hope you are all feeling great and finding more balance recently. The Universe only attempts to assist us in aligning with our highest path. It is our resistance to change that creates the most suffering. My man Russell Simmons says: “Needing nothing creates everything.” Meaning, the “needing” of things to be different creates a lack and a helpless feeling. When we embrace what is, even if we hate it, we create more space for love, healing, openness, newness and the ability to make a clear decision around what needs to change.
I recently participated in a meditation at Sattva Yoga studio. They hosted Bryan Bishop (Bald Bryan), who works with Adam Carolla, who just released a NY Times top selling book called Shrinkage.
Through meditation, medicine and alternative healing he reduced the size of an inoperable tumor in his brain to half the size. The book tells his personal story and the love story between him and his beloved wife. Listening to him reinforced my belief in the power of meditation and the power of belief.
Sometimes as I’m working hard and not always seeing the immediate results of my hard work, I get a bit deflated. I think we all do. That’s why we need each other. We have to lift each other up and lift ourselves up. I feel yoga, meditation (and my products…I believe in them that much!!) nature…anything that helps you relax, build inner confidence and faith, are essential.
Lately, I realized how much I miss interacting with larger groups of people. I’ve neglected my writing and teaching for too long. I’ve recently committed to changing that. So, I’ve decided to start teaching yoga again and have planned some workshops around teaching people about awareness though meditation, intuition, energy and empowerment workshops. Please check my Twitter, Instagram and Facebook Pages for updates. I will be teaching at Sattva Yoga in Brentwood starting in July at 8am on Tuesdays & Thursday. Look for me at Bhakti Yoga Shala and Yoga Salt, too!! I am subbing at both studios until they have room for me. I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to support these wonderful studios and all of you!! I hope to see you there!!
Secondly, my posts going forward may at times be simple & sweet, but I intend to post more often. With that, if you have questions or topics you would like me to address, please email me at: carrie@lifearomatherapy.com and I will share your questions (anonymously) on some of the future blog and Twitter posts. I will conducting one question, short guided readings for free, so that everyone can learn and benefit from the guidance. Yay!!
Here is a little “light” to get you though and to help you remember where you came from.
Light Chakra Spray assists with clearing ones overall energy field. Those that are highly sensitive find this formula extremely effective, as do children. I use this spray after my sessions to “clear” my energy and keep me healthy and balanced.
Etoiles – Essence of the stars
I believe we are all energy and part of everything. This fragrance is my version of what star energy and essences smells and feels like. It helps me connect to something bigger when I need the support. When we recognize that we are all one, and part of everything, it assists with dissolving the ego energy and fosters a more powerful force of energy, universal cosmos energy that always, I mean always, has our best interest at heart.
And a little music to get you in a new grove:
So Much Things To Say – Lauren Hill
When things are challenging, do things that help you stay centered. Try to shift your perspective and learn from the experience. Be grateful and stay in love energy. I assure you — things will be better if you do. I believe this with all my heart.
Stay positive, mediate, and get in nature. Let things go. Practice patience. Love through it all.
I love you all. See you soon!
Carrie
]]>Yes, this month we are all getting schooled. This word has come up too many times to not discuss it — so here we go folks.
The dictionary defines integrity as “the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. The state of being whole and undivided.
What I’ve realized when it comes to integrity — some people are fortunate to come into the world aligned with it. Something intuitively navigates them in taking right action in every circumstance. They may not even realize it, but they are fortunate, fortunate beings. For a greater percentage of us spend most of our lives learning to align with it through stumbles, fumbles and flat out hard lessons.
I love the quote by Oprah “Real integrity is doing the right thing, knowing that nobody is going to know whether you did it or not.”
I feel you have to be honest with yourself before you can truly live with integrity. You have to have so much love and respect for yourself that innately, you would never cause harm or do something that you know would be dishonest to yourself or someone else. As Oprah said, it is taking right action regardless of who is aware of it. It is a gift you give yourself knowing that you are clear and honest in your actions. Living with integrity allows for greater freedom, for when you are less burdened with those things you need to hide & make right, there is more space to love and uplift.
For me, living a life full of integrity is essential. It is the foundation to all my choices and my work. I believe people feel that and therefore I am able to form deep, loving and trusting relationships as a result.
Living a spiritually aligned life involves a foundation of integrity. When something is not aligned with my integrity, I typically will move away from it. The energy will usually bring me down and make me feel “icky.” Simple as that. When I see that someone is afraid or still learning how to live a life of truth, I have compassion and try to support them in a way that allows for growth and self-awareness, but ultimately, it is up to them to do the work and I know that. Therefore, we must not judge. We are all constantly changing and evolving. Someone in your life may lack integrity today, but there is always room for growth should they choose to embrace it.
I believe that we are always aware of our actions, even if we lie and make excuses, we are always aware. That is the integral truth that we cannot run away from and that is the truth that I believe can set one free if you choose to release living that way.
Our collective consciousness brought awareness to this subject this month, so I have to say, we must be ready for change. Are you ready for more happiness and freedom? Well, let’s do this, then!

Happy 2014!!
I’m finally ready, are you? I feel that I resisted starting the New Year. Just yesterday did I finally feel like being out in the world and connecting to the New Year. Thus…that is why you haven’t heard from me for a while.
Last year was an intense and emotionally taxing year. I worked very hard and put everything I had into new projects (my Life Tool Kits) and prepping for events and meetings that had the ability to launch my business into a whole new level. The hard work was worth it, but I needed a time out. I think I’m still in the “self-care” mode and I have to say, I like it. It’s been a while since I’ve taken a break and to be frank, it’s something I’m learning to do — my work is my passion, so I’ve had to set boundaries and create a schedule to keep balance in my life. I know that it’s essential for healing and well-being.
Soooooo, guess what the topic is this month??? Yes, you know it! BALANCE! For many, this year is all about setting boundaries and creating balance. If we don’t take care of ourselves and preserve our energy, who will? I thought I had healthy boundaries until I basically broke down from exhaustion at the end of the year. I was completely deflated. Everything that I had worked so hard for all year came to fruition and I was left with fulfillment from achieving goals, but emotionally depleted and totally exhausted.
What I learned through the process is how I need to create a schedule where I have time that is devoted just for me. Whether I go to yoga, read a book, get a massage….it’s necessary that I incorporate “nurturing” into my schedule. I have a daily meditation practice that helps tremendously and I spend a lot of time outdoors, but there is something about yoga and doing things that are more nurturing that heal the body in a profound way. I suggest you all try to commit yourself to a little pampering this year. Create some time in your schedule just for you. This is the year to do it. Everything is elevating and speeding up. We are becoming more sensory and sensitive…everyone can use the self-care.
Here are some tips from Organize Your Life to assist with balance:
Top 10 Ways to Balance Your Life
If you want to take the balancing and self-care to a whole other level then maybe this will interest you:
I’ve created a series of kits to help individuals evolve and create self-sanctuaries within. If this is the year that you wish to attract a life partner, find self-love, find healing, acceptance or trust in yourself…I believe my kits can help you with the process. Each kit includes a 20 minute spiritual counseling session with me. In the session I will guide you to the kit that will assist you on your path at this time in your life, or you can choose your own kit based on what you are looking to manifest and bring into your life. Here they are:
First Series Life Tool Kits™
Acceptance
Empowerment
Grounding
Healing
Self-Love
Trust In Self
I promise you, they work! I feel once you commit yourself to the 60 day process and do the daily ritual, you will transform and cherish the experience. There are currently 12 kits total. I recommend starting with one from the first series and then choosing another one from the first series or move on the second series. I will be there to guide you through the process if you need help selecting a kit.
Here is a little video of what I’m bringing in to my life as a result of creating more balance in my life.
I’m wishing you all the most amazing year ever. I keep hearing from people that they feel it’s going to be a great year. I trust that whatever you feel WILL BE. It IS going to be one of the BEST YEARS YET! Yahoo!
Oh, one more thing before I go!! Music!! Here’s my pick. If you ever have artists you would like to share, message me on Twitter or Facebook and I’ll post them in future blogs.
Tourist – Mason Jennings
Trouble – Elliot Smith
Ends Not Near – Band of Horses
I’m sending you all bountiful amounts of love. Until next time….

I have let go. I have let love in. And loved, and loved some more. I will do it again and again. For those that couldn’t hold me and those that wanted to contain me, I send love and gratitude to you. For I have learned my lessons well. My heart holds room for it all. And my heart will be held. I will hold your hearts in my heart. I will share it with the hearts of others. And I will be humble and kind. For our hearts are to be protected and cared for — as we are always mending and expanding. And I will do my best to always embody love. -ck
]]>“The mind is everything. What you think, you become.” Buddha
The other evening I went to an art charity auction supporting the Boys & Girls Club. Nick Cannon was the DJ and the place was filled with a mix of artists and observers. I went with two great friends, who like me, don’t take things too seriously and fully took advantage of genuinely absorbing the art and environment. So, while Nick struggled to initially get the “hip” crowd dancing, my friends and I didn’t hesitate to get moving as soon as the music started. I’m a lover of old school rap. Biggie being one of my favs. So, if you can for a moment envision this girl dropping her body to every beat like a collapsible dolls, well, yeah, that was me. Everywhere I go, if I hear good music, it is my natural instinct to start moving. I literally have no control. And, I never like to be “cool” – it feels too contrived and artificial. So, when the same thing happened the night before at an art event when only two young boys were in the dance circle surrounded by hipsters…you know what I did. Right? I politely put my jacket on a hook, along with my elegant purse and got down with the kids. Ha! Why the hell not? I’ve digressed….
My point is. The night of the auction, I came across a magnificent painting. It took my breath away. Rather than just observe it, I had to be with it. Stand next to it and embody the energy I felt (I’ve attached it below). It’s a feeling that overtakes me — the desire to be with things that move me deeply. For me, when it comes to music, art and nature, I need to be enveloped by it all — they are my lifeline (so is love!…oh, and AIR. haha).
Seeing this painting was significant for me. Hawks and birds of prey have always been quite symbolic at turning points in my life. Any time I have questioned if I was on the right track or at a cross roads, I have spotted a hawk. Before I moved to California, I saw one and it confirmed for me that I needed to trust my instincts with the move. The day of the move, I saw one. When I recently questioned moving back home or elsewhere, I saw one. When I questioned if my business would grow to the degree I want it to grow for fulfillment…I saw one. And in the last month, I have seen them four times, all in moments when I needed to see them the most.
We must be true to ourselves and honor the signs that our sent our way. We must honor our intuition or at the very least get in contact with the deeper more authentic, spiritual part of ourselves that speaks to us. When we are open to it, I feel as though the Universe sends us signs to build our confidence, because I know personally, at times it feels like we are in our own world when it comes to our dreams and inner knowing.
If you are interested in animal symbolism, a great book to start with is Animal Speak by Ted Andrews. If you are interested: hawks & birds of prey represent the spirit world and the unseen. They encourage us to see clearly, have strong visions and use our intuition to support our goals and communication with others.
When we put away our ego and follow our inner knowing, beautiful things happen. When we are challenged, look for the signs, for they are there.
For the next 30 days I ask that you commit to going deeper into your “self” and get in tune with your spiritual, intuitive side. Let the ego go for a while, and align with your truth. Put away the self-doubt, criticism and judgments from others and allow yourself to connect with something bigger, kinder and more powerful…your spirit.
Oh, and if you’re at an event and their playing great music and no one is dancing…I hope you step forward, get your freak on and lead the way.
Here’s some music to get you started:
And of course, some “Life” tools to help you get “in-tune” & funky!
Have an auspicious 30 days!!
Much love,
Carrie
For those of you that have yet to encounter this precious being, I sure hope you read about her incredible story. To summarize, at the age of 14, this bright, proficient little girl became an advocate for education for women in her country of Pakistan, where under Taliban rule, girls were banned from attending school. Malala, with the support of her father, began a blog under a pseudonym for the BBC to share her experience under the Taliban rule. She became a voice for girls (and women) in her country, promoting the rights every human being has to an education. She became an idol to many, and a threat to the Taliban. On October 9, 2012, she was shot point blank in the head while on a school bus with other young girls. This little girl, at age 14 was THAT powerful. She was a threat to the Taliban and they attempted to silence and remove her. By a miracle, the bullets that entered her head bypassed her brain, struck a nerve in her face and neck and exited through her shoulder. Doctors were astonished that she survived. They called it a miracle.
In my eyes, this girl is as powerful as some of the most influential Peace Activists in history. She is self-less, fearless, incredibly eloquent, impactful and unforgettable. In a word: Extraordinary. I am captivated by this being and humbled by her grace and strength. I hope you all read about her story.
Never go backward. Attempt, and do it with all your might. Determination is power. – Charles Simmons
Malala is my inspiration this month, and I hope as a result she becomes yours. She’s a radiant light in this world. My wish is that we can all shine as brightly and manifest our potential in this world.
When it’s over, I want to say:
All my life
I was a bride married to amazement
I was the bridegroom, taking the world into my arms…
I don’t want to end up simply having visited this world.
– Mary Oliver
May we all leave such an imprint.
In honor of Malala, here is my perfume pick of the month (what is left of it). Remember that the perfume pick of the month is 15% off.
I believe in the power of Spirit
I believe we can overcome any obstacle
I believe in the grace in humanity and the light that shines in us all
I believe in the power of belief
And the faith that carries our dreams
– Carrie A. Keller
I will leave you all with a little music to warm your hearts and inspire you to be all that you can be.
Sending you all the stars in the sky.
Love,Carrie
I invite you to join a revolution this month. Yeah, that’s right, we’re starting a revolution (and a resurrection. ha!). What’s our cause? Well, that’s up to you, but I say we start something. Stir it up, shake things up a bit.
For too long lately, have held myself back. Now, the people close to me may not agree — as I typically go full force with most things in my life (ha!). But, over that last few months, I don’t know what happened. I went off the rails a bit. I guess you could say that Little Miss Optimistic (me) was feeling a bit deflated. One thing after the other came up and I wondered if things were every going to get easier (of course they, do but you know what it’s like when you’re in it. Umm hmm).
Through the struggles, I lost parts of myself I no longer needed and sought to find the parts I wanted to keep. I developed more self-love and acceptance and most importantly, I learned PATIENCE.
As a “manifestor” I have to say that I’m used to things working out. I wondered if the Universe was teaching me a lesson, testing how much I wanted certain things in my life. Patience is a virtue. I’m now learning what that means, and I have to say, it’s not so bad. Some things are worth the wait and effort.
So, as I reflected on this lesson, I thought to myself: You know, I’m going to be patient in certain areas and just totally let go, not put too much effort into manifesting. BUT, with the things I can take action on, I’m going to go GANGBUSTERS!! FULL THROTTLE! I’m hoping you all do the same! For some things in life, you have to take action. You have to have a plan, work hard, focus and intent what you want. Actions pay off, too. It’s a matter of balance. Manifest, work hard, be patient and let go. Sounds so easy, right?
We can be whomever we want. We can learn, gather information, inspire others. Our minds are our greatest tools. I’m starting a anti-self limiting behaviors revolution. If I see any of you on the streets or in your homes sabotaging or limiting yourself, I’m gonna…I’m gonna…well, I won’t hurt you, but we’re gonna have a talk. Ha ha.
This month, let’s start a revolution. Let’s spread our pixie dust everywhere and have a big LIFE party. I’m ready. Are you?
How about a little music to help with this project. What do you think?
Holy Roller – Thao & the Get Down Stay Down
Have you viewed our new website, yet? I hope you like it. I did it all for you. Take a look when you have time. Let me know your thoughts and if there is anything we can do for you. www.lifearoma.staging.wpengine.com

I hope you all have a transformative, revolutionary month. I’m back on the train now and have my Compass in hand….let’s see where I land. Let’s see where we all land next month. Sound goooood?
I’m sending all my love, always.

]]>Welcome to August! Well, July went by in a blink! I had planned to do a post sooner, but the activities and projects in the last month have kept me preoccupied. I’ll share about that here in a minute, but I want to start with the intention of this month which is this: True love.
Do you believe in true love? I sure do. I have one BIG example of it in my life and many others, but let’s start with the big one: my parents.
My parents have had the blessing of being together for 60 years (54 married), happily. This month holds their anniversary. I feel it is perfect timing to talk about them and their love story.
I’ve seen relationships that share the time but not the love. There are many couples that stay together, but hold no love or like for each other. They stay for comfort, security and various other reasons.
I also know that there are many relationships that have love, but break for assorted reasons.
No relationship is perfect, but some offer an example of love, commitment, respect, honesty, ease and romance…these things embody what my parents for 60 years have shared and they are fortunate beyond measure. True love doesn’t come around that often, many never experience it, but my parents this go round were blessed to come together. They are absolute love birds. They still do sweet things for each other, bicker like kids (and get over it fairly quickly–ha ha!) and are somewhat inseparable. When they look at each other or if you witness them together, there is no question that they are deeply in love.
We all have different paths in life and with our learning. Some people learn through life experiences some through relationships. Some, well, don’t learn at all. Ha! Whatever your path, I feel we are all here to learn about love. And if you can learn about it through a healthy partnership, then you are really lucky. I have a couple friends who have unquestionably met their true loves. When you meet your counterpart, there is no end to what you can create together.
I am grateful to my parents for the examples they are in my life. Thank you Momma & Papa for being such a lovely force of love in my life.
The benefit of having this kind of example in my life is this: More love for all of YOU! MWAH!
Through my parents and my own relationships I’ve learned not only about love, but about compassion and empathy — for others and for myself. And if it makes you feel any better, my learning in love hasn’t been that easy considering I’m a very sensitive lady (Ouchie), but I continue to keep my heart open knowing that I am still learning every day and that my experiences will only allow me to love more deeply and unconditionally. And when I am getting ready to share my life with my equal and true love, you’ll be the first (well, after contacting family and close friends :)) to hear it.
So, changing subjects…hee hee.
If you’ve been wondering where I’ve been lately, well, I promise you, it’s all for you! I’ve been working on streamlining my website and developing some fun tools and products to help you all on your paths. We will be launching our new website any day now! I hope it will be your ‘one stop shop’ for products, perfumes, spiritual insight and inspiration!
Oh, and some other exciting news: We are participating in a show called Coeur in New York in September from the 16-17th. If you know any stores that might be interested in seeing our products in New York, let us know and we’ll reach out to them. www.coeurshow.com
There is more exciting news, but it’ll have to wait for a bit. Shhh….
How about some music to honor my parents and the love in our lives?

]]>Welcome to June. I’m sorry I missed May’s post and hope that this post makes up or it!
Let me just start by saying this: I’ve missed you.
Last month was an emotionally challenging month for many. I felt like I was cocooned in an intense energy and could feel the weight of the burdens of the world. I see my sensitivity as a blessing, but during times of intense energy like last month and the months prior, being sensitive can be, in a nutshell, not so fun.
I noticed last month, many people dealing with myriad challenges and grief (myself included). I prayed that it would end for us all, even though I knew in my heart that it was all purposeful.
Through it all, I could see past peoples immediate circumstance and saw and felt something more magnificent — an abundance of love and a depth of understanding. I could clearly see the lessons people were learning and how ultimately, they were being stretched so that they could make room for new energy and a deeper understanding about love. It was a clearing and an awakening. As tough as it was, I’m grateful for it and hope as you all reflect on the last several weeks you will see the blessings in it all.
What I know about these times of challenge is this: It is divine and purposeful. We are being stretched so that our hearts can let more light and love in. We are only given that which we can handle. If we learn to move through grief and challenges and allow the emotions to come up, the next time these things come around, we will be better prepared and hopefully, have a different perspective about how to work though these things. Grief is never easy, but sometimes people don’t allow themselves to feel, let alone truly grieve.
They sometimes turn to behaviors, outlets and develop unhealthy addictions to cope. And you know what, I’m sure temporarily, these things help to distract and numb, but the pain will still be there until you deal with it head on. The only way to clear it, it to dive straight in, let it move through you and let it out. It’s not as scary as it seems. It’s not fun, but it will free you, ultimately.
When we ask the Universe for help, it hears the call and it will wipe out anything that is no longer serving you. It’s the holding on that creates the suffering. So, my advice this month is to LET GO. Just STOP IT. Stop stuffing emotions. Stop the negative self-talk. Stop the fears. Stop limiting yourself. Stop forcing things. Stop controlling. LET IT ALL GO and LET IT ALL FLOW THROUGH and FLOAT. Be FREE.
This may be a hard concept for people to grasp. We so often want to be in control and hold on. What I learned in the last few months is this: I can take action with my goals. I can follow my heart and truth. I can support people in their lives and hold space for their choices. But, after this, I can let go and TRUST. I can trust that there are higher forces working in my favor (our favor) and that we don’t need to hold on too tightly. For if we do, there isn’t enough room to let the really, REALLY good stuff in. The MAGIC.
I’m ready for the magic. Are you??I challenge you to completely surrender and allow things to flow this month. This does not mean be passive and apathetic. I mean, take action when you feel it. Follow your heart and truth, but once you take action, let it go. Trust. Don’t force things to happen. The best things in life take time. I’m realizing that big time. Start by letting go of fears and being to follow your heart and where it pulls you. As simple as that is, the heart IS truth. It is the source of your intuition and the well of your knowing and ‘being’. Follow your heart in every area of your life and then let go, float. I think you’re going to see a lot of beautiful, magical gifts if you do.
Here’s a little music for you. We can’t go without it, right??
I have some exciting news. Lot’s of juicy news. Wink, wink. But, for your ears only, I have this: My new website will be launching, soon! I will be unfortunately, saying goodbye to Blogspot, but you will be able to read my monthly blog, purchase products from the Life Aromatherapy line, schedule intuitive readings, request a custom perfume…it’ll all be in one place for you! Yay!! Finally! You’ll be the first to know when it happen. The other juicy stuff will come later. Oooh, you’re gonna likey!
Sending you all love. I’m gonna let this month bring me all that I desire and allow it in without doing too much manifesting. Hope you join me!
xx,
Carrie
I always feel a sense of joy and deeper appreciation for nature in the months of spring. Here in Santa Monica everything is in bloom, in energy, too!
Lately I’ve been reminded of innocence and what a beautiful thing that is. I see the innocence and light in children. They contain such joy and I feel it when I’m met with their curious eyes and delightful smiles. They bring out my playfulness. They light up my heart. They remind me of all that is good and sacred in life and how important it is to be present and in tune with their needs, for the smallest thing can wound them.
I feel we all have a childlike innocence, some people more than others. I see the weight that some adults carry and I see with that, how they have lost their light and innocence. Some people carry wounds from childhood and adulthood and have a lot of healing to do. Some have overwhelming responsibilities and therefore, their behavior carries a vibration of frustration and tension…any little thing sets them off. When I encounter these people, I try to help them remember their light. It’s easy to encourage and remind, but some, I feel are like fire breathing dragons. You have to be careful with your words and tone – the dragon will breathe fire if it feels it’s being threatened or questioned. Not everyone is ready to see the work they have to do. Not everyone thinks being light and joy-filled is a good thing. It might be an unrealistic, unobtainable fantasy.
I understand, I’ve breathed fire with a person or two when I’ve felt like I’ve been disrespected. This is what I want to focus on…how to tame your inner dragon.
The key to all of this, I feel, is to establish healthy boundaries. Sometimes boundaries are absolutely necessary. Just like parents have teach boundaries to their children (well, some do), we have to do the same with certain people in our lives. Before we can do this though, we have to understand what our boundaries are. That can involve some inner reflection and self-work which can take some time.
Once we have them down, it’s natural to breathe fire when someone crosses them. It’s a protective mechanism. If you have a level of awareness and self-respect, you’re not going to appreciate it when someone crosses your boundaries. You would think the bawl would cause a person to stop, listen and respect our wishes, but what I’ve noticed with breathing fire (getting angry) is that it does no good. It only hurts us and the other person. It’s not an effective way to communicate our needs. There is no way a person can hear you when you are screaming unless they are a well-trained student in deep listening. It takes a lot of life experience and empathy to understand why a person would get angry. I feel that anger is always a manifestation of a wound that has yet to be healed. There is a deep place within that person been hurt at some point in their lives and therefor they won’t tolerate being treated a certain way.
“
Sometimes we walk in light. It shines through us. All we touch is warmed and brightened. Sometimes, we are the sun.” -W. Spirit
Now with all this, I feel that when we remain light, graceful and embody an innocent attitude, we can gently communicate our needs and what we are comfortable with in relationships and elsewhere in our lives. We can truthfully communicate what hurts us. When we feel like someone is being disrespectful or dishonest, we can communicate with grace and consciousness and try to understand why they are behaving the way they are. We don’t have to accept bad behavior and we can keep our boundaries intact, but we can do it gently.
This month I ask that we do some spring cleaning and clear out anything that is no longer serving you. Bring back you innocence and lighten your load. Communicate gracefully. Keep your boundaries with people and when they cross them, state your needs, hurt and whatever else you need to share. Know that you can make a choice to leave when you feel disrespected. We have to preserve our light and innocence. It’s our life force energy. And, trust that we will always get the love from the people that recognize and cherish the light in us. Believe it!
To help woo your dragon, I’d like to recommend my Light Chakra Spray. I call it fairy dust. It will tame anything and anyone. Ha!
Here’s a little music to help you with the process, as well!
I’m wishing you all a wonderful month. I hope that you find the light within and share it will the world.
Much love,
Carrie
I have a tribe of gypsy friends/family. One of my sisters is part of the tribe, as are four of my friends. I recognized them immediately. I have a large network of special friends that I share wonderful bonds with and will forever be my extended family, but the gypsies I’ve traveled with for lifetimes and I know that we’ve united for a higher purpose. For being a gypsy is a whole other way of living and not everyone knows what to do with a gypsy.
I encounter other gypsy “acquaintances” occasionally that I instantly want to bond with. Like vampires, the gypsy in me recognizes them through my higher senses. The kinship that gypsies share is due to an understanding about freedom, expression and a non-conventional way of living. Gypsies are also highly aware and intuitive, for as travelers, they used their wit and instincts to survive and provide for themselves. They relied upon their community wherever they journeyed. When you share deep bonds with your community, if forms a foundation to be anywhere in the world knowing you always have your tribe. That’s the misconception about gypsies–that we’re non-committal. We commit to our community; to justice; to expression and to each other. For when we love, the love is everlasting. Freedom and trust lies in the connection as does a spiritual energy, and when we have this support, anything is possible.
I’m a gypsy, but know that I don’t need to roam this lifetime. My gypsy friends are the same. We’ve connect to support each other in planting roots. We’ve needed freedom so that we can touch more people, but knowing that eventually, we all want to settle down and nest after our work is done.
That is the struggle with gypsies – often, planting roots takes time. Our roles are to spread wisdom, love, support and light through our work. We have to weigh our responsibly so that we can have more space to reach more people. Often gypsies don’t truly settle until later in life. This can be painful, but also incredibly fulfilling…it’s all how you understand the calling.
As much as my heart wants to slow down and settle, my gypsy spirit knows that I have more to do with my work. I’ve had to learn patience. So has my gypsy tribe. Through lifetimes of surviving off our gifts, we’ve learned to be tenacious, resourceful and faithful. Tools I use EVERY, SINGLE, DAY. No matter what, we know how to survive. We will always take care of each other and do the work necessary to share our talents and bring light to the world.
Here is my gypsy advice this month: Follow your dreams. Share your gifts. Make your focus about service. It’s important that we support each other and form a global tribe to uplift and support each other in our work, whatever that may be. I hear many people say “I’m not creative. I don’t have anything to offer. I’m not talented. There’s too much competition.” There is room for us all. Our focus may be different due to our responsibilities, but each role we play is valuable. If you have the space to explore your talents and build them, please do it! And if you’re in your craft, please share it!
I’m grateful for my gypsy friends. Maybe it’s because we’re all so similar. There’s an intuitive understanding. Everyone wants to feel loved and accepted, right? BUT, not everyone understands a gypsy. Oh, and, NEVER I mean, never (!), try to hold them down.
They’ll shoot you to the stars!
Black Gypsy
In honor of my gypsy tribe, I’d like to recommend Bohemien Blanc (White Gypsy – dances in the light-allure) and Bohemien Sombre (dances in the dark-mystery). Two of my favorite fragrances from my high-end line of natural perfumes.
White Gypsy had a little Rose and Frankincense and Black Gypsy has a little Amber and Rosewood. Both have close to a dozen essential oils in the formula and all are very, very enticing. You know we gypsies like to lure people in to our worlds.
White Gypsy
Here’s a little gypsy folk music to boot!
Happy March everyone. I hope this month is a great one for you. Bring out your inner gypsy. Start exploring. Share your gifts. Form a tribe, a community and support all you meet! I have to go dance now.
Mwah!

Happy February!!! Oh, la la. The month of love. C’est magnifique!
I contemplated what to write about this month, but after watching documentaries on Gerhard Richter and The Human Experience, I was inspired to talk about a theme that has been weaving in and out of my consciousness and that is “What is sacred?”
What is sacred to you? What does the word sacred mean to you? When I think about Saint Valentine’s Day, I think about all the reasons we have to love one another every day. Expressions of love should expand beyond Valentine’s Day and ooze into every waking day.
What is sacred to me? The list is so long, but I will say, what is most sacred are my relationships. I do not take anyone for granted. I do not pretend that people will be there tomorrow. Each moment is sacred with the people I love.
Beyond this, what is sacred to me is my work. Everything I create is from my heart and a deeply spiritually connected place within me. My product line, perfumes, manifestation beads, art, writing and readings all stem from a place of love and a sincere desire to support, help and empower everyone that I come in contact with. The sacredness of this is beyond explanation.
What is sacred to you? Do you value what is sacred to your loved ones? Do you nurture and cherish them? If not, can you begin to?
Sometimes when we are caught up in managing our lives we forget to appreciate the people in our immediate circle. You may take your partner, or friends for granted. After a long day, you may take your frustration out on your loved ones; maybe you’re neglecting yourself, too. Pay attention to what is sacred to you and begin to cherish and nurture those things. I assure you, it will be worth it.
The universe responds to those who choose love over everything. Our attitudes and language play a big role in what we attract. When we choose to operate from the space of respect and love — doors and hearts open. What about trying a test this month and consciously choose words of love, even when you want to scream and yell? Can you rise above and choose to love, respect and accept? Can you preserve and protect those things that are sacred to you?
“The last of the human freedoms is to choose one’s attitudes.” Viktor Frankl
I’m going to make a conscious effort this month to elevate my life by choosing to love – even when I’m hurt, tired and misunderstood… I will choose to love. I will do my best to nurture and cherish everyone I love and uplift anyone I encounter. Do you think you want try it? I bet you’ll like the results.
Here’s a little music to get you going:
In honor of Saint Valentine, I’d like to recommend Amour Eternal – Parfum by Life Aromatherapy (yours truly) and my 4th Chakra Spray – Love. Ohhh, you’re going to smell so good. Be careful! People might attack you (I’ve contemplated putting a warning sign on my fragrances. Haha! —spray a little and get a tickle. Heavy with the spray, you won’t be able to keep them away. Ha!). Okay, enough with the jokes. Promise.
Ahh, love. Isn’t it why we’re all here? To learn about it. Expand our ability to love. To cherish it? Love is a sacred thing. Our ability to love is one of the greatest gifts we have as humans. To some degree, behind all our actions is the desire to be loved. Even those that are more materially motivated and deep down searching for love and approval. Behind everything and in everyone, is love. I think that is pretty sacred. Don’t you think?
I’m wishing you a wonderful month full of all those things that bring you joy. Happy Valentine’s Day!! Oh, and to my guy, sis, sis-in-law and great friend, Happy Birthday!! MWAH!!
Love, love, love!
Carrie
